Things were going so well!! And then DATE NIGHT arrived.

I got up and did my Boost Metabolism dvd. I ate a normal breakfast and lunch. Did some house work, and got ready for a movie with my BF. Where I got sabotaged by popcorn, and Olive Garden.

I thought I did okay on the popcorn. I let him eat most of it and I finish off the bottom 1/4 where there was NO butter.

Then, I ordered a glass of red wine at dinner instead of a overly caloric fancy drink. I love the Olive Garden. I know it's American-Italian food, but it's soooo good and not hugely expensive. I checked their website before my BF picked me up and decided what I would have. Soup, 1 bread stick, 1 serving of salad no dressing.

Mistake number 1: I forgot to ask the waiter for dressing on the side of our salad or to get a separate one for me.
Mistake number 2: I didn't stop at one plate of salad or when I was starting to feel full.
Mistake number 3: I didn't skim the pasta out of my minestrone soup.
Mistake number 4: ordering an ameretto sour for after dinner
Positives #1: I didn't leave the table stuffed
Positives #2: I DID limit myself to one bowl of soup
Positives #3: I DID limit myself to one bread stick

I know that in the long run, this was not a bad night of eating out. It could have been WAY worse. And I hoping that my weight gain is water retention from the popcorn. I also know that both my BF and I are trying to cut down on our spending so I know that nights like this are not going to happen overly often.

But I'm also disappointed because I didn't get up early this morning to exercise. The BF stayed the night and I was in sleep&cuddle mode so I recent my alarm clock an hour later. I was disappointed with that even before I stepped on the scale this morning. Obviously, I need to stop putting the BF before myself.

I still have until Tuesday to get to my 120 goal, so I am just going to have to be good from now on.

Eating out is rough on the diet that's for sure. Limiting to one bread stick is amazing. I love that place too and don't know if I've ever been able to do that.

It helped that the bread basket was on the other side of the table from me. When I'm with a girlfriend I usually say don't bring bread. I can't really get away with that with the BF though. It also was a good thing to look up on their website and see that each bread stick is 150 calories!
