Sorry for not blogging more recently - some personal shit that is clogging up my head space and making me want to hide under the covers for forever. I may get around to writing about it, but it's hard to put every thing I am feeling into words. I go back and forth in my feelings too from sad and depressed to okay to hopeful which makes it that much harder to come up with a blog post about any of it.
Anyway... on to other more positive things...
I've lost almost 4 lbs this week! That puts me at my lowest weight since October and less than 10 to my realistic goal weight. (15 to my "I wonder if I can get that thin?" weight.)
I have gone back to doing what I know will work for me. Which is one of Jillian's short workouts (30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30) in the morning and running in the evening with a healthy diet that says away from grain-type carbs after lunch and with some extra protein. That is what I was doing when I was getting ready for bikini season - well I cut carbs out more than that and ate alot of eggs, and I also walked with my mom after running at night. But I was trying to drop pounds in like 3 weeks, and it was, obviously, not sustainable. I ate crackers and cookies on Wednesday but I still lost weight because I stuck to this - it was pretty awesome!
I got a new HRM - a Polar FT4 - and today it started snowing plus I work the night shift, so I couldn't do my plan. Instead I wore my new heart rate monitor while doing Insanity Pure Cardio to see what I was burning. In the 38 minute workout I burned 357 calories. That really isn't bad, but no wonder I wasn't losing weight (besides the fact that I would cheat on the weekends). I was only doing the one workout a day and eating 15-1600 calories a day. That's not enough of a deficit, not for me. And I think that my body really likes working out in the morning. I was doing Insanity later in the day because they are all in the 40-60 minute range and I am not about to get up at 5am to work out, 5:30/5:45 is bad enough as it is!
Then I finished up with some of Jillian's yoga meltdown and since I had done the cardio right before I think I had a better burn than if I had been cold. I might start adding it or abs after my run in the evening.
Will probably have to join a gym soon. This weeks weather was great for running outside, but the snow started tonight and I don't know if I'll be able to go out tomorrow. I was supposed to go dancing with a girlfriend tomorrow night, but she bailed on me. And the other person I invited is busy. I really don't want to go by myself - it's just to see a band, not couples dancing which oddly enough, I would totally go to alone. But she was nice enough to ask if I wanted to get together on Sunday, so that was nice of her.

4 lbs in a week! Don't think I've EVER done that. Good job. Hope the other crap you are dealing with gets straightened out.
Yay for the 4lbs! My HRM is either a Polar F4 or a polar F7.. Can't remember.. And I found it to be a great hrm.. :)
