I started the Fat Smash diet yesterday, not Monday like I wanted, for a few reasons.  First, I was way behind on my work and spent all day Sunday on it and even most of Monday before work. Which meant I had zero time to prepare, a.k.a. menu plan, & grocery shop. The BF and I did take a couple short work breaks, including one trip to the grocery store so I did buy a few things, to be ready for Tuesday. But Monday was a day of energy drinks and fiber one bars trying to keep myself awake and working.

But my Tuesday was pretty good. My day of food looked like this:

Breakfast: 1/C dry oatmeal made with 1 C water, 1C frozen strawberries, 1/2 banana, w/ 1 cup decaf w/ 1 truvia
Snack: 1C red grapes
Lunch: 1/2 sweet potato, 3/4 C blackbeans, 1/4 bell pepper, some chopped onion, 2 garlic cloves, spritz of olive oil. 1/2 bag salad, w/ chopped peppers, onion, pea pods, cherry tomatoes, 1TbS low fat salad dressing and 1TBSp vinegar.
Dinner: Same salad w/ 3 olives, and kale white bean soup
Drinks: seltzer water, coffee, an amaretto sour.
I do need to add more frutis

I definitely cheated from the real FS diet. I had a drink before going to bed, and put a truvia in a cup of decaf coffee. This morning I had caffeine, which is not allowed also. But, I think in the spirit of the diet to be making healthier choices, I think I did pretty good. Today will be the challenge at work. There are almost always cookies or something in the staff lounge.

I am also down  .8 of a pound since yesterday and about 1.5 from Monday. Which is awesome. (Though I think right now it's all water and waste weight - seriously, all the extra fiber is moving thing along!!) I also didn't gain anything over the weekend. That was a huge surprise. I didn't think I made great choices on Sunday. So I think going forward as I try really hard to make good choices when the BF and I do eat together I will be in good shape. I am thinking that I will offer the BF to cook sunday dinners and that will also really help.
