So last night being a friday could have gone a little bit better. I ended up having a beer and a glass of wine on top of lunch and dinner out.

But, the weight is slowly coming off. The scale says so, but so do my clothes. My Banana Republic size 4 pants are starting to fit loose and my other suit pants are starting to fit again. A little tight, but better than before.

I had my second fit test for Insanity on tuesday and I improved in everything except for suicide jumps (burpees). I was particularly impressed with my improvement on push-up jacks. And in yesterday's workout I actually did all my pushup jacks in regular form - before I was modifying by being on my knees when my feet were supposed to be together. But I'm not going to do them modified anymore.  I don't have my stats in front of me to post the rest. But I was really surprised by the improvement. I didn't measure myself. I want to wait until Feb 1 so I've got a full month to see a change.

I think that last weeks slow down on my weight loss was just that second week shock to the system. I just waited it out. Now, if I'm careful the rest of the weekend I think I will make my goal for Monday's weigh in.




I have to admit doing thursday and friday's workouts was hard. Yesterday in particular I was barely motivated. But I did do it. I came down with a cold today and that's got something to do with it. The other is that work is really getting me down. I keep ending up as the person who fills in for everyone else on the night shift. It's getting irritating. This last time was for a legit reason - my boss's mom was in the hospital - but I was just irritated because my boss never comes out and says what she wants somebody to do. She asks if they want to.  And I was like, no I don't want to work Thursday night. But in the end I did because I am a nice person and I believe in karma. If my mom were in the hospital I would hope one of my co-workers would take my shift. It ended up not being as bad as I thought it was going to be.

All I wanted to do on Thursday and Friday was run not Insanity just put my shoes on and run in my neighborhood, but it was snowing. I did do my Insanity - obviously but I will be glad when winter is gone.

glad you are sticking with it. And how annoying...does anyone really want to work a night shift? Will you is more like it. That was very nice of you.
