So, my boss has been freaking out lately. Apparently, and the rest of us just found out today, that due to budget restraints (our fall numbers are down from projected goals) our top boss has instructed all supervisors not to hire replacements for unstaffed positions through the end of the fiscal year 8/12. Which means, when I leave to move with the BF they can't replace me. That's 30 hours of work a week that has to go to my co-workers. We have a hard enough time as it is because my boss doesn't pick up any of the extra work when we're slammed.
This news came the same day that I need to ask for letter of recommendation for an application due on the 15th. Thankfully, she's not able to say no to anyone and will do it for me. Plus I said I wasn't leaving until Spring (which may or may not be true - I'm kind of hoping to be out in January) so hopefully she won't be too mad when I do go.
I weighed 125 today!! I was actually hovering between the lines for 124.75 and 125. But it's a matter of ounces, so I'm just going to round up, that way it looks like a bigger loss tomorrow. I know that this is all water weight. I took a laxative late on monday night and spent from 1:30 to 11:30pm empying myself out every couple of hours. The cramping is not fun, but feeling totally clean from the stomach down is pretty great. But, I think I'm probably dehydrated now. Which means, I have to be careful that I don't totally bloat up again. Today's game plan is low sodium, high water intake. That way my body won't be tempted to hang on to it.
I got two runs in yesterday for a total of 6 miles. Considering I have a 5K to run in 24 days. I'm happy with that. Today I "slept in" (til 6:30) at the BFs. It's a very rare casual Wednesday at work so getting ready was a breeze and I'm feeling pretty good at work. Even though I do have to go talk to my boss's boss about a recommendation letter too. (Yikes!)
Also, Orange kitty seems more like himself today than he has in weeks. He was trying to steal my bagel off the counter this morning. He's a big cat and he can reach the counter with his paw by standing on his hind legs. He thinks he's being sneaky by reaching up and trying swipe things down onto the floor. Silly cat! He's still not as active as he was. But I'm hopeful that he's going to be okay now.

11/9 Day three: Do you count calories? What is your daily calorie goal/allowance?
I
try to. Some days I do better than others - usually when I'm being
good. That's when it's super easy to count calories. When I get off
track and start eating donuts and pastries or candies, or doritos, or
stopping at taco bell, that is when I don't count.
I
try to zig zag my calories. Currently I am trying: M 1400, T 1200, W
1500, Th 1400, F 1600, Sa 1800, Su 1600. That is intake calories, so
when I work out obviously my net is way lower. But I may change this as
1200 is really hard for me. And mentally 1800 sounds like too much,
even though I know for a weekend it's pretty realistic considering
that's when I eat out and drink.
Gone are the days when I could eat 700
or 800 calories a day and workout. I really don't know how I did that. I
know how it made me feel (superhuman!), but I just can't do it anymore.
I generally try to be around 1200-1500. I feel like that is a good
weight loss range. Any less and I seem to plateau. Too much more and I
gain. I use myfitnesspal.com to keep track.

That's pretty much how things have been at my work for a couple years now. So they don't have to lay anyone off they just don't hire replacements. It can be rough...but such is life.
Could that be the reason why I haven't been losing weight properly the last week ish? - ex from the eat out Saturday - my intake has been low ish.. I have been thinking that maybe I should try to eat a bit more during work day.. But I dunno...
