So... FH has not been working for quite a while. Last summer he left the job that we moved here for. He was doing contract work for awhile for the international side of the company he left (it was the stupid partners in his office that didn't like him, everyone else, including the clients, all loved him).

We've been perfectly fine financially with his savings and my work, but he's gotten pretty bored not working. He's been applying and interviewing.  Pretty early in the year he had a recruiter approach him with a really good opportunity at senior management level with a directorship with in a year of starting. That's pretty amazing. The industry is interesting to him as well. So he got into talks and interviewed with the recruiter and the company, and eventually they started talking salary & how much it would take to get FH on board. I won't go into those types of numbers but it's a good living.

The catch is the job is in Oklahoma.

Yes, Oklahoma.

Really only good when there's singing and dancing involved.

And... he accepted it. They are giving him a decent relocation package, which gives us time to look for a place to live. But basically by August I'll have to leave my job, our apartment (that we just moved into) and move with him to Oklahoma.

Yeah, Oklahoma.

There is a ton to get done for the wedding, and now we'll be even farther away than before. I'm hoping to get alot of things made and purchased so that we can drop them off at  his parent's place before the big move. But I went from a work pressure situation, to this and it's like I never get a break.

My dress is probably not being delivered until August, which is going to be a real pain in the ass. Because I won't be living here. And there is no chain of the bridal store where I got it in or near our new town, which means getting it sent probably to one near my mom's house and traveling for alterations. What a pain, not to mention, expensive.

So, I know some people had asked about my dress... and here it is. The one I tried on is olive green, I bought it in a nice Red color (not too bright, not dark like burgundy, the color is called claret)

makes my waist look so tiny!
Thinking of having it shortened
Ughhh. hate my fat arms, but I like the pleating
on the top and the waist, but that jewel may need to go.

I'll leave the pics up for a little bit but will probably bring them down in a week or so....

I'm considering accessorizing in white, or ivory to give it a more "bridal" feel. A delicate necklace, a headband (I like this one), and possibly a lace shrug like this one

I've planned out all of the decorations, centerpieces, guest book and it's just time to start making the stuff. Wine bottles is the theme. I'll put up pictures as I make stuff. I'm keeping it a secret from almost everyone (except FH of course) so it will be fun to share it with someone!

I'm off to Mexico for a long weekend for a friend's wedding. I have been doing the Fat Smash diet for the past 3 weeks. This week I haven't dropped a single ounce. No matter how much or little I eat or exercise. I've been doing Jillian's Body Revolution and running.   Oddly enough though, my clothes are fitting better and I'm wearing a dress that I fit into a couple of years ago when I was 4-5 lbs less than I am today. So, I must be doing something right.

Anyway... back to what little work I'm actually going to get done today. Then to the airport!!

So good to hear from you hon :) The dress is sooo beautiful, and it does make your waist look tiny!!! I love the headpiece too! I wouldn't put a shrug over it cause the details over the chest are very nice, but I am sure you will look amazing regardless of what you decide to do :)

Have loads of fun in Mexico, and I can't wait to see more pictures. Don't worry about the move, you will figure it all out :) When do you have to make the move?
