I started at my new job yesterday October 1. I am with Moonlight Mistress, October is awesome month. I love fall, the weather, the colors, the apple cider, and pumpkin spiced everything. Then Halloween. Halloween edges out Xmas as my favorite holiday, because though Xmas has gifts, shiny things, and twinkle lights, Halloween has costumes, and if done right it can have sparkly things and twinkle lights too.
I had grand plans for October. The BF is letting me have a party at his place but he doesn't like costumes, so it may just be a fall party. I've always wanted to a February house "warming" party with nothing but warm drinks, desserts, lots of chocolate and candle light. This one will just have to be fall flavored I guess.
But, I am now working two jobs for the duration of October which means I wake up at 6am go to job #1 from 8am - 1pm, go home take care of Black Kitty, grab something to eat, and drive an hour plus to job #2 from 4 or 5 -10pm, get home aroudn 11pm and do it all again the next day.
Eventually, my days will be free and then the plan will be to wake up at 8am, work around the house, or go volunteer, or take a dance class, at least two days I'll need to apply for internships, or other jobs in the field I'd like to transition to, then go to work early to use thier fitness center, then work from 4 or 5 to 10pm. Except Fridays which I will have off! Since my volunteer orientation for the animal shelter isn't for 2 weeks, I don't know yet when I can reasonably fit that in (maybe fridays?).
The down side is that even though this job pays well, I don't know how long I can really be at it. It is just like the one I left. Worse because there's less responsibility. And ultimately I'd like to be doing something that makes me happy, not that I do to pay for my dance classes.

Loooonnng days in other words.. Make sure to have loads of fun and relax in the weekends to make up for it :)
Just take it as it comes hon - now that you have a job that will pay well, you have the option of taking your time, do what you want, save up some and look for the "dream job" while you have this one..
The house warming party sounds like such a cozy party.. You should ttly do it, fall flavored or not hehe
Would it be too pushy or give away too much information you don't to share if I ask what you do? I've always been so curious!
Also, what field are you trying to transition into?
