So today I begin the Fat Smash Diet. This was something I discovered over a year ago and the cool thing is that it works. The first 9 days are wicked hard. You cut out almost EVERYTHING. And considering how I've been a fast-food and candy-holic lately, it's going to be tough. But, putting on my work clothes today was a nightmare. My jacket feels so tight. And I looked at one shirt in my closet and knew for a fact that there was no way it was going to fit. I might actually make sure that I keep wearing slightly tight uncomfortable clothes just to give me the extra motivation.
Fat Smash is by Dr. Ian Smith the doctor on Celebrity Fit Club. The first 9 days all you get to eat is Fruit (as much as you want), Vegetables (as much as you want, but no white potatoes or avocado), 1 cup oatmeal, 2 6oz servings of low/no fat yogurt, 4 egg whites, up to 2 cups brown rice, 2 cups herbal tea, beans, legumes, tofu. No meat, no cheese, no bread, no whole eggs, no white potatoes, no nuts, no dried fruit, no pasta, no popcorn or chips. Minimal amounts of oil for cooking and minimal low-fat salad dressing are allowed.
Today I started out with my cup of oatmeal and blueberries. I brought yogurt and strawberries for one snack, an apple, and grapes for another snack, a huge salad for lunch. After my work out today (yep, getting back on that bandwagon too) I'll have one egg whites with some hummus and carrot sticks. Then dinner will be peppers, onions, beans and brown rice cooked with alot of garlic and spices.
I need to hit the grocery store this week, get some zucchini, sweet potato and some other fruit, or it's going to be a boring 9 days! I've done the hole 9 days in the past and lost almost 5 pounds. The trick is you're not supposed to weigh yourself or count calories. I can not count calories, but not weigh myself? Not going to happen.
Because Fat Smash doesn't give you a lot of protein you're not supposed to do any strength training for the first 9 days, but since I really want to lose mega weight I'm totally okay with breaking down some muscle along with the fat. But since cardio is great for burning fat, I'm going to take the middle road and start doing the P90X Lean program. It has more cardio days than lifting days, and one day for core. I might run on the "Cardio X" days instead though, because I'm not the biggest fan of that video. The last time I did P90X I made it 45 days. That would put me around New Years, and around Valentine's Day if I make all 90. I'm really going to aim for all 90. I have a super hot lingerie set that I got for last VD, but chickened out of wearing it.

Sounds like a solid plan.
Good luck!
Sounds like a good plan because you are getting 100% healthy foods in your system which diet plan or no diet plan is what we should just be doing anyways. Eating clean. This might be a good focus for you. If you are eating clean then calories really don't mean as much. Good luck to you!! Also the p90x phase did not last for my hubby and I only did it 'cause of him so I think that's officially over for me!
